The DMV offers Dash Pass appointments to help you get in and out of field offices as quickly as possible.
Appointments for general services are currently offered at the Carson City and Reno offices only as we phase in our new system. Drive test appointments are offered at all offices. See Locations for our other offices.
See Online Services before you make an appointment. You may not have to visit an office at all. You can change your address online, handle most insurance issues and much more!
Please ensure you are choosing the correct office.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early and visit the Information counter prior to your appointment. Make sure you have the documents required for your transaction. Fill out any forms in advance.
All customers must check in at the Information counter and be in the building prior to closing.
We do not accept appointments from dealers or third-party registration services. Companies should use the established procedures.

Driver License and Vehicle Registration Tip Sheets
Make sure you have all of your documentation before you come in. All documents must be originals or certified copies.
Real ID vs. Standard License/ID
All applicants for a Nevada driver's license or ID card must choose between a "Real ID" card or a standard Nevada license or ID. This includes renewals and duplicates. A standard license will not be accepted for boarding aircraft beginning October 1, 2020.
You must present proof of identity to obtain a Real ID license or ID for the first time. See these pages for more:
