A two and a half day course in managing mass fatality incidents for emergency responders and other professionals is being offered in Carson City April 20-22. A FEMA-certified instructor will teach attendees how to successfully handle a mass fatality incident, including working with the survivors of an emergency or disaster.
The course will be held from 8:30am to 5:00pm, April 20-22 at the Nevada National Guard in Carson City. There is no charge. Anyone involved in disaster relief efforts including coroners, medical examiners, funeral directors, heads of the first response agencies and emergency management coordinators are encouraged to attend.
