Great Job Nevada! Stay Safe, Stay Open.

Miles with a computer

All DMV offices are open. We look forward to serving you. Face masks are required!

Use Alternate Services if possible

Renew your vehicle registration online or at a kiosk and use our other online services. You do not need a renewal notice. See Online Services and Kiosks. Most driver's licenses and ID cards cannot be renewed online.

Extensions on Expired Documents

The DMV has granted two extensions on expiring documents. The expiration dates listed in the DMV system will not change and you will not receive any mailed notification. Motorists who qualify should download and print the appropriate extension letter to present to law enforcement.

Senior Driver Extension

Nevadans age 65 and older have been granted an extension on driver's license renewals.

All Customer Extension

Any driver's license or other DMV-issued document with an expiration date between March 12 and July 15, 2020, has been extended through September 13.

This extension does not apply to vehicle liability insurance or SR-22 requirements.

If your license or other document expires July 15 or later and you are unable to renew on time, please make an appointment (at the metropolitan offices), print the email confirmation and carry that with you. We have notified law enforcement of this issue.

Office Visits - Appointments Only in Metropolitan Areas

The DMV is serving only customers with appointments at the offices in Carson City, Henderson, Las Vegas and Reno. Make your DMV visit a success the first time! Gather all needed documents and have forms filled out in advance.

Make an appointment

Walk-in customers will be directed to online services, kiosks or scheduled for an appointment as appropriate.

Rural offices are walk-in based but serve customers from the local area only. Don't drive from Las Vegas or Reno.

KIOSKS

Registration Renewals, Duplicates, Decals and Driver History Reports are printed on the spot.

Many take cash.
