Thanksgiving Closure and Reno Move

All DMV offices will be closed for Thanksgiving, November 26-29. Avoid the post-Thanksgiving lines! Customers without an appointment should delay their visit if possible. See the News Release.

The new Reno office at 9155 Double Diamond Parkway is now open. See Locations. Existing appointments have been transferred.

Most transactions at DMV offices in Carson City, Henderson, Las Vegas and Reno require an appointment. Walk-in customers will be directed to online services, kiosks or scheduled for an appointment as appropriate.

Senior Driver License Extension

Motorists age 65 and older have been given additional time to renew their driver's licenses. Print the extension letter to present to law enforcement. Your expiration date will not change. Renew as soon as possible. ID cards can be renewed online.

Extension for Senior Drivers 65 and Older

Previous extensions on other DMV documents have expired. Vehicles must have a movement permit or full registration to be driven on public streets.

KIOSKS

Registration Renewals, Duplicates, Decals and Driver History Reports are printed on the spot.

Many take cash.
